In 1986 Greg Schipper started a company called ACC, Inc in San Antonio, Texas. His company developed medical and dental practice software at a reasonable price. The need for medical billing software and software that could handle electronic medical records sold at a reasonable cost was overwhelming. FoxMed and FoxDental, the EMR and medical billing software developed, were sold in the state of Texas for a decade. In 1997 the company went national, selling these products to medical and dental practices throughout the country.

After being acquired by a company called PCH, LLC out of Louisville, Kentucky the company blossomed. The software was rewritten and updated for 2000 compliance and Healthtec Software was born. Since then the company has only improved, adding additional components and becoming Healthtec Fusion.
